jackson roach

I'm a documentary radio producer, editor, sound designer, and occasional composer and field recordist.

I'm co-editor-in-chief of the audio magazine Signal Hill, where I also contribute production, sound design, and some original music. We were named one of the best podcasts of 2025 by the BBC, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker.

My reporting and documentaries have aired on Radiolab, 99% Invisible, WBEZ Chicago, The Dig Presents, Antibody, Signal Hill, and elsewhere.

I'm the associate producer at The Dig. As a producer and sound designer, I've also worked for Rowhome Productions, Sixty Inches from Center, ARTPOWER, Haymarket Books, Jacobin, the Seminary Co-op Bookstores, Seattle Rep, Generation Anthropocene, Raw Data, Smithsonian, and many others.

I've taught at the Stanford Storytelling Project and YR Media, and spoken at the Meeting of Independent Radio Producers and the Third Coast International Audio Festival. I've been a curating listener at the Third Coast Competition and the James Beard Broadcast Media Awards.

I trained at Radiolab in 2016, and studied comparative literature and poetry at Stanford.
